  • Laura Senk

    DVM

Dr. Laura Gay Senk is the founding veterinarian of Farmingdale Dog & Cat Clinic and a University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine graduate. Initially, she practiced as an equine veterinarian before dedicating her professional energies to care for cats, both pets and feral. With professional interest in feline medicine and surgery, and a drive to help animals in need, Dr. Senk started a Trap Neuter Release (TNR) program that is still in place today. This is a low cost service that helps to control populations of feral and stray cat colonies on Long Island, and humanely works to end the cycle of pet overpopulation. She also volunteers for TNR programs with rescue organizations such as Last Hope Animal Rescue, All About Spay Neuter, and Animal Lovers League throughout the year.
